behind
i am going to make this quick because i am so behind... i am behind on blogging. i am constantly taking pictures and videos that i hope one day to upload and share and make into a post. that usually doesn't happen.
i am behind on grading. i brought home stacks of papers all week. they are still there. untouched. in fact now there are more.
i am behind on calling friends and family. sorry if you are one of them.
i am behind on bills. i just can't remember to pay them on time.
i am behind on fashion. whenever i go to the store i am too overwhelmed by the changing trends to know what to buy. (i go to a store once every few-er several- months, and then it is usually target). i always thought i would stay current on clothes and music and hair...hmmmm.
i am behind on cleaning. oh that's not even funny how behind that behind is.
i am behind on technology. i just don't get how things work sometimes and don't have the time to figure it out.
i am behind on pinterest. i just discovered it (or finally gave in to it rather) and am just a tad addicted. it helps me in the fashion department and maybe technology. definitely crafts!
i am behind on the hunger games. i read just a little each day. one of my sixth graders stared reading it right after me and is on the third book now. he taunts me by threatening to spoil the plot. i am on p. 103 of the first book. the movie came out last week. i am behind.
i am behind on sleep. i never. get. enough.
But to make myself feel better (and you all) I will let you know that I am not behind on showering, brushing my teeth, eating (of course!), feeding my kids, playing with my kids, bathing my kids, showing up for work at a reasonably late time, and now the blog!
*incredibly adorable pictures and super-cute videos to come...

Tubes
I just realized that I never told what ended up happening at the ENT. Well, she got tubes the next morning (Feb. 21). It went well even though the night before didn't since I could not nurse her all night and that is the only thing that makes her go back to sleep...
Since then we have been antibiotic and tylenol free...almost. She did develop hand, foot, and mouth disease just two days later. But she had a fairly mild case. The doctor at her 9 month check up said her ears look great! She is right at the 50% for weight and head measurement and almost 75% for length.
Now I only wish I could say she was sleeping through the night. She is doing better though. It. Will. Happen.
They're Here!!!
The puppies are here, the puppies are here!!!
Ok, so they've been here for like 12 days now (born March 1). But saying it loud and excited-like takes away from the fact that three days before the puppies were born I hit Baylor in our driveway with our new van. And I killed him. That day was awful and I still hate thinking about it. Three nights later we were up for several hours in the middle of the night scrambling to get a box and towels and googling like crazy on our ipads to figure out how to help a dog give birth. Turns out that it was a pretty neat experience! There are four. One female and two males. They are soooo tiny. Well, they were so tiny I should say. It is AMAZING how fast they have grown. Just today they have reached to just about a pound in weight. And their eyes are just beginning to crack open. They kids love them!
Oh man Cora is changing! She can now crawl on all fours, eat a variety of "table foods," pull herself up to stand, point, screech when she wants something (she gets her point across!), play with lots of toys (the baby doll is still her toy of choice). She is just amazing! I don't know if I've blogged about this yet or not, but Jude is basically fully potty trained. He has really seemed to grow up quickly too. And he always says the funniest/cutest things that I can never remember to write down later. The best one lately though was when he ran in from outside to go to the bathroom saying, "I never leak, I never leak!" (really funny if you've seen Cars 2).
Can you believe the amazing weather predicted for this week?! The weekend was pretty great, but tonight was gorgeous. The kids and I played outside in t-shirts! Now usually I feel really awkward about wearing flip-flops in March, it just seems tough to make that transition usually. But not this year baby!!! Bring it on!!!
Anyone want an adorable beagle puppy?
Here is Briar just a few days before delivery.
And here is the family. I think Barry is the likely father since none of the puppies really have much ticking.Swinging! (not today, today we were in t-shirts!)
